We’re gutting our 1985 house. Before we closed up walls, we had ducts cleaned. They pulled out a hammer, beer cans, and 2 lbs of sawdust from the original build. The foreman said “we find tools in 1 of 3 houses from the 80s.” No wonder our kids’ rooms were dusty. We’re starting fresh with clean ducts before we move in. If you’re renovating, clean before AND after. Builders don’t clean up what they drop in there.
