They charge a diagnostic fee on top of the fee for the service being performed. I can understand the diagnostic fee to protect themselves from people trying to get a free look at a vehicle, like all shops do. However, Principle Toyota used to drop the diagnostic fee if you got the recommended work performed, like all good shops still do. On top of this, their fee is just over double what a local well known shop charges.
