What a great hotel! I booked an overnight stay to attend a local event, and my son and I were blown away at how nice this place is. They embraced the historic school site with lots of details throughout the rooms and hallways, in a tasteful and not "too cute" manner. The rooms were IMMACULATE and spacious. The location is so sweet, on a lovely historic street. Highly, highly recommend The Principal Hotel!
Hotel was quiet and clean. Room was nicely furnished, including room darkening curtains (which is important in the summer when it gets light at 4:30 AM). There is rails to trails walking path close by which was great for a post-dinner walk. Cafe on the Abbey, which is next door, was great for breakfast with good food and fast service. I will stay again the next time my business brings me to the area.
Rooms don’t allow self control of temp so had to leave a day early due to freezing temp. No breakfast or any other amenities.
Exceptional. Easily the best hotel we have stayed in for a very, very long time
