Incredibly long waiting time to see a doctor. I believe it was over 8 hours. I was very strung out by this time and the patient I was with got a very sore back and became very agitated. The drs and nurses are great, it's not their fault. It's not fair that in "emergency" people have to wait for so long, in pain and/or sick and in need of medication and treatment. I've been to other hospitals and never had to wait this long. It was terrible.

I’ve probably had more empathy and humanity shown to me at Service NSW updating my car rego on a busy weekday afternoon. But that would be insulting to Service NSW, who are actually trying really hard to practise politeness and decency to a spectrum of people and issues. Between 4 and 5 AM, I drove to the ER with agonising middle ear pain, probably on the same scale as when my appendix was about to burst years ago.
