Had a lovely stay in July 2026 at Primrose Inn! We had a first floor room with a private porch which was the perfect spot to enjoy the coffee that was ready first thing in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops from the inn. We look forward to staying here for our next trip to Bar Harbor!
Walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor. Super duper staff, best-est breakfast any where. Nice he snacks … cold drinks and juice and coffee always available.
The Inn itself needs some updating. The chairs in the guest room and the carpet are stained and dirty (gross). A small wicker basket that held the creamers in the dining area was falling apart. (a tag sale item can correct this). The kitchen with the microwave is off limits which was odd too. Little things make a big difference and are easy to correct. The breakfasts and snack were good. The prices to stay are high and the accommodations are fair. Would not stay there again.
The Primrose Inn is a true gem! It is perfectly situated, making it easy to stroll into the bustle of Bar Harbor, walk across to Bar Island or launch out for the day hiking. What makes it exceptional is the staff. Elle and Anna were so welcoming, provided invaluable info about great hikes, places to eat. Amazing experience! Excellent and friendly service, phenomenal breakfast, cozy and beautifully decorated rooms, and great area to walk to all the sights, shopping, and good eats. Loved our stay! 💙
