My Gastric Sleeve surgery went well, so much better than I expected. Dr Sowemimo was so great, a skilled professional with a great bedside manner. I did not experience any pain after surgery. It’s been six months since my surgery, and I have shed almost 1/4 of my previous weight. I experienced only one night at CentraState Medical Center after surgery, and the staff there was great. Anne VanMeerbeke RDN,CDCES, the Bariatric Coordinator at CentraState Medical Center was especially great and passed on so much knowledge.

June 16th 2025 I went in for gastric sleeve and haven't looked back since. 3 months post op and my most recent weigh in puts me at exactly 69 pounds down. Its a process but im along in this journey for the long run. Most days my brain tells me im looking at the same 69 pound heavier girl in the mirror but physically I feel so much different. Down about 2 shirt sizes and multiple pant sizes too. I can keep up with my kids now too. Hears to the rest of life 🥂
