Primavera Ristorante Very nice restaurant with great Italian food. The location is great - right in the middle of downtown Coronado! It definitely is not a casual restaurant, and the prices reflect that. If you are looking for a nice Italian dinner, I would highly recommend Primavera!
PERFECT – This is my FAVORITE Italian place to go in San Diego. It's slightly expensive but NOT for the quality of food that you get. Every time I go, I'm shocked at how low the bill is. It's extremely romantic and cozy and the atmosphere is very mellow and relaxing. I've never felt rushed or uncomfortable. The music is also very quiet and relaxing. The service is amazing, they really anticipate your every need before you even do! Definitely a great place to take someone special.
Doing too much! Man was I underdressed! I just wore some jeans and nice shoes. People were dressed really nice. It is romantic, and I dont remember the music being loud at all. A good date place, a little pricey, and not very welcoming.
Great Food - But Too Loud I have tried the penne pasta and the fettucini dish. Both were not your typical Italian fare--they were light, refreshing, and classically Californian. The best aspects about Primavera were the food, drink and service. The tuxedoed wait staff offers a hint of elegance. The worst aspect was the environment, being too loud and too cramped.
The best Italian on coronado, my husband loves their sauses and the pasta is so fresh, everyone will love it.
