I accompanied my father to his appointment on 9/11 with Dr. Sharmeen to discuss his care and FMLA paperwork. I had previously experienced difficulty getting the paperwork completed because I was repeatedly told by Dr. Sharmeen that it needed to be completed by my own PCP, so I attended my father’s appointment in person to address the issue directly.
