I found Dr Robertson to be very kind, personable and informative. I had to have a colposcopy which was a bit worrisome to me. He took the time to meet me and talk with me prior to the exam, and he explained the reasoning and procedure start to finish without me asking about it. He was very discreet and respectful through the entire procedure, ensuing my comfort and understanding was priority . Yes there was discomfort, but he was quick to apologize for it. For what it was, it was a positive experience.
I had this doctor back in the late 90s to remove my ovaries. He was doing that laparoscopically. Prior to the surgery, I signed a form stating that if it was taking him any longer than 20 minutes, he was to open me up and perform the surgery that way. He was in there for 2 1/2 hours! My ovary was buried in scar issue from endometriosis. So while digging it out, he severed my uretar and he severed an artery. The individual I was on the phone with was lovely. The one at the clinic day of wasn’t super happy but also wasn’t mean either. The doctor? Amazing. I was very stressed going in for a colposcopy especially because it was a man but he walked me through each steps, heard my concerns, was patient with questions, and was pretty good at distracting during the painful portion. I will absolutely be coming back for any necessary check ups.
