I had them out for a tilted ventilation pipe to my gas water heater as I was concerned it might not be venting correctly. After examining the pipe carefully, the tech advised it was ventilating correctly. He repositioned it to the original spot & placed some screws to hold the 2 pieces of piping together to keep them from separating in the event that future roofers needed to reboot the water heater vent.
