I had an appointment at 11 am for service, was told at 1 pm they couldn’t do the service (I completely understand that, it was an issue with my car). I don’t understand why I made an appointment at 11 am if they wouldn’t even look at it for almost 2 hours after

I went to this dealership today to check if the damage front cushion shield was under warranty since my 4Runner 2025 has only 17,000 miles. The plastic clip was detached from the body. The supervisor of the service department told me the warranty was void because I’ve made an attempt to apply an epoxy to attach the clip to the body. Then I asked them how will it cost to to fix it. They told they need to do a diagnostic (a cost of $90) to do it. My question is why do you a diagnostic if the obvious damage was known already.

I bought my vehicle at this dealership when it was Courville Toyota and have had it exclusively serviced there. I always do the recommended maintenance and my vehicle has been trouble free. I brought it in 10 days ago for the 100,000 mile service and noticed the brakes have been making a slight grinding sound. At the last two service intervals, the brakes were marked as 4-6 mm remaining in the lining and in fact, a Service rep pointed that out at the last visit and mentioned that I might need new brakes soon.
