Simply the strongest voice of any guitar in my 50 years of playing. They custom built me a D and when it arrived I was pleasantly shocked at the power and clarity. The expressive tones are really magical. Get your dream guitar, I can not in words tell you how much I love this guitar! I have several great guitars, however this one is supreme. Red spruce, with Cuban Mahogany.
We were passing through town on a Tuesday afternoon. Called ahead, and Christine was able to meet us to give our family a tour of the shop. The guys in the shop were happy to show our kids what they were working on. Super cool set up and special visit on our road trip!
Bought the Dreadnought D-Mad-Adi from the Acoustic Shoppe in Springfield Mo. a while ago. Bought it sight unseen and without playing it either. Had it shipped north of the border and I have to say it has blossomed into a great sounding and playing piece of art. It is a real treat to play and the Madagascar back and sides create a sound that is simply outstanding! The neck carve works perfectly for my hands. Just WOW! I am blessed to have gotten a beautiful new Thompson Dreadnought today! The tone, volume and resonance are exceptional. The setup is perfect. This guitar rings forever. I am blessed to own several boutique maker guitars from names such as Santa Cruz and Kevin Ryan among others, but this one has raced to the top of my list! Buy one if you can 😊
