WARNING! Do NOT build with or plan to purchase a spec home from Prestige Builders Inc. - Dave Ernst! It has been the most horrific experience of my life. He is currently building in Meremont, Beckley Springs, Persimmon Ridge and Brentwood subdivisions. Dave Ernst is full of lies and empty promises. He does not pay subs in a timely manner causing major delays and stress. Building completely on our own would have been a much smoother process and we would have celebrated Christmas 2024 in our home as we were promised. June 2025... read more
DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY!!!! They are a disaster, they dont pay subs and you end up doing work yourself. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY DO NOT USE PRESTIGE!!!! WISH NEGATIVE STARS WAS AN OPTION.
I only wish 0 stars was an option. Throughout the process of building our new home which was supposed to be 12-month max from contract signing (verbal promise by builder just to get me to pay the 20% down payment). Our Contract in fact spelled out 210 weekdays after break ground. When pressing this point in the contract Prestige explained that the day in the contract doesn't matter and it is just a guarantee that it will eventually be done. We have built several homes. Working with Prestige was the most pleasant experience ever! They are professional, competent, flexible and fair. We purchased our current home as a resale, and Prestige finished our lower level. They were so easy to work with. The home is now nine years old, and we have never had one single problem with anything!
