Group of us went there. Cool place and feel. Love the redesign. My steak was average. Wife has the portobello and asparagus meal and would rate below average as it lacked seasoning. Seemed put together lazy. The salads are small. Burgers were above average. Recommend those honestly. Their website had cool drinks but they weren't available anymore. Bourbon was very good. Server was sweet, but quite slow.
Great food, decent service, and lacking atmosphere. The food here is great! I have never had a bad order in the 20+ times I have been here. The fault I have is in the “nightlife” part of the bar. You shouldn’t have a Touchtunes active if there isn't a Touchtunes jukebox to use. I wasted 3 credits before learned that the music is completely uncontrollable. You cannot even make a suggestion!
We used to frequent the Old Herald, but service had been going down hill for some time. Tried to go back and give it a shot this past weekend. There were only three tables when we arrived. We were seated and waited over 15 minutes for a server to come get our drink orders. No server ever arrived. We left. That kind of wait might be excused on a busy evening.
