Wow! It’s amazing how a couple of bad potatoes can ruin the bag! Dr. Mak has been treating my husband for many many years, I’m unsure of the number to be exact, but it is a lot. My husband has had 15 spinal surgeries amongst many other unfortunate health issues. He has solved problems that the best of the best at HSS and Columbia could not figure out. He’s one of the most patient, compassionate, kind human beings I’ve ever encountered. It would be a shame if any of these bad reviews stopped someone from giving Dr. Mak a try ... read more
Office is unprofessional & rushed. Dr Mak gaslights you saying you dont have much pain with one poke in the back, but he will inject you for $$. I have 2 herniated discs in the middle of my back that burn & are painful. I had forgot to ask for a dr note while i was there so I called the next day to ask for on, heard nothing back called again 3 days later, nothing, called 2 days later got someone who said she would see what they can do. Dr mak ordered an MRI with and without contrast. I had a bad reaction to dye (severe dizziness and loss of balance.) He would not see me or talk on the phone - the message I got was he didn’t treat that. Meanwhile, until I found a doctor who would treat dizziness, I wasn’t even sure if it was the dye. Could have been from my very bad back - which he was treating. TOTAL lack of compassion and caring. Even when you read the 5 star review, you realize that that was meant to be a 1 star.
