Dr cabell delivered my daughter in 2018 and she did a membrane sweep on me under the guise of checking dilation, same when I was induced she said she wanted to check dilation and she really broke my water all without my knowledge. At tennova even the nurses know she gives painful vaginal exams and during the group b strep test she made me bleed. I'm writing this now so moms know she will do stuff without your consent and it didn't sit right with me all these years.
To pre-face, my experience was in 2019 but I was randomly thinking about Dr. Cabbell today when looking through my daughter’s old baby belongings. I’m a FTM and she made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Her and the other nurses always respected my time. All of my complaints had more to do with the hospital I gave birth in and the lactation nurse but Dr.Cabbell was great. I have loved the gynecologist I usually visit here, but unfortunately due to some ridiculous business practices i’m going to have to see someone else. The gynecologist department here absolutely refuses to see patients who have any medical debt. While the debt is my responsibility, some of us have lower income and are in college and on a strict budget. So I just don’t deserve medical care because of that? Absolutely ridiculous. I’m being forced to see someone else because of this.
Dr Cabell is the opposite of Diana Healths culture. She is very strong willed and manipulative. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone and it’s a shame she was put in the position of Medical Director over the Northcrest location. I had Dr Cabell as the on call OBGYN at Northcrest. I was warned by medical staff that Dr Cabell would immediately suggest a C-section based on her convenience not an actual medical need for one.
