Airfare and excursion plans for Waikiki all worked exactly as planned with no hitches or delays. The Royal Hawaiian hotel was beautiful and the ocean view off the room balcony was just as promised. Restaurants at the hotel offered a good mix between local fare and our traditional midwestern preferences. Our travel agent wisely suggested we use local transport rather than renting a car, which made a lot of sense given the heavy traffic in Honolulu and the cost of overnight parking.
