Never again!!! I had to purchase a new vehicle after they "fixed" our smog issue. We got the California BAR grant to help with the cost of repairing or smog issue in our truck. This was the ONLY place in town that would honor the grant. Although being told by a friend that the place was less than honorable we were stuck. Honored my lifetime brake warranty – I recently moved to Gilroy from Mtn View and I had a lifetime brake warranty from the getting my brakes done at the Mtn View store. Even tho they are different owners, they honored my warranty from the other store even though I didn't have my receipt. Saved me $100. They told me they wanted to have my business for the long term and I appreciate that. That's why I recommend them to everyone I know!
fixed my smog problem – I went to this shop for a smog check. My vehicle didn't pass. I dind't have the dough to pay for the diagnostic and repair so they gave me an application for the CAP program. I drove to San Jose and they faxed my application to Sacramento. I got the approval in 30 minutes! Went back to this shop the next day and I only paid $28.25 for the repair! The state paid for the rest!! Thanks Precision!
out of towner – I was driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles when my car started overheating. I called AAA and the tow truck driver recommended this shop. I told the manager Callan that I needed to get back on the road ASAP. They fixed my water pump within a couple of hours and they also found a nail in my tire. Saved me from another AAA tow. great first impression – I took my vehicle to Precision Tune because I'd received a coupon in the mail. I dropped it off for an oil change and smog check. My car didn't pass smog and I wasn't too happy about that! Until they gave me an application for the CAP program. I applied and was approved for $500 towards repairing my vehicle to pass smog. Great service & great prices – Took my vehicle in for an oil change. They found my water pump was leaking. They arranged a vehicle for me while my vehicle was fixed. Very friendly. Great experience.
Great place. Been a longtime customer – I've been going here for years since I moved to Gilroy. Every time I've gone they've taken care of all 3 of our family cars. My car failed smog and I they helped me apply for financial assistance. The state paid $500 towards my car passing! Very happy and high recommended!
Not Recommended! – If you want your transmission to break down after service, go to this shop. If you want to have your routine maintenance done and find out that your transmission died after the service, go to this shop. If you want to wait four months to get a diagnosis of exactly what went wrong with your car, go to this place. If you want the shop to drive your car over 1,000 miles without your consent, go to this shop. Can't diagnose or fix problems, but will charge you and send it home as "fixed" – Although they are friendly, conveinant, and helpful; their skills are seriously lacking for auto diagnosis. Oil changes and maybe tuneups can be done OK, but if anything goes wrong and they want to start to replace parts and perform services - watch out. A good shop will figure out what is wrong and maybe replace a couple of things worst case, but these guys will do lot's of services and not fix the problem and send it home as completed.
