In Oct 2024 I was involved in a bike crash, where I sustained a serious hand injury with several severely broken bones. I broke the 4th metacarpal just above the knuckle, the head and neck off the 5th metacarpal as well as the pinky finger just below the knuckle. I was seen by Dr. Samir Hassan, who took x-rays and after a brief consult, informed me he could just do a quick pin insertion right there in the office.
