When I first called them they couldn’t get me in for two weeks, ok whatever. Two weeks later I call them, they don’t even remember me but just tell me bring in my vehicle they’ll get me in. They told me it would be a week and a half to rebuild the engine and they would call me when it was done. They originally quoted me $3995. A week after I dropped it off they called me and told me it would $7k to fix it. I told them that wouldn’t work so they backed it off to $5700. They told me again a week and a half and they would call ... read more

After blowing a used junk yard motor, I decided to spend the extra cash and get a rebuilt motor for my 2001 monte carlo. Found this website and it seemed like a good deal... Boy was I wrong! Right off the bat the motor was leaking oil and coolant. Found that ALL 4 freeze out plugs were leaking, lower intake gasket leaking, and now... Not even 5k miles later its POURING oil out of the main crank seal behind the flywheel. WTF! I did the lower intake myself with the better felpro kit and just put epoxy over the freeze out plugs... read more

Well, typical bad engine builder. They use a different name when engine arrives, paper work lists Thunderbolt etc. No details on parts, just 383 stroker / with no warranty written on paper work. Engine never ran right after starting. Cylinder 4 did not seal properly. Block was not decked after hone job. Coolant leaks into piston and fouls plug. Found used lifters in the motor. Head bolts were over tightened; one of them had to be cut for removal. Heads were supposed to be machined with bigger valves, but originals were re-in... read more

Sold one thing - Sent another! I purchased an engine from PrecisionEngine.com, I beilieve they are also known as Thunderbolt Engines, RebuiltCrateEngines.com, and ICT Engines of Houston, Texas. The engine I received was missing key items that were outlined on the spec sheet and sales sheet. Because of this, the engine failed at less than 400 miles. They did replace parts, but took no responsiblity for the discrepencies on the sales sheet until I hired an attorney. Even after settling with them, I discovered that they had use... read more
