Dr. Prayaga was my psychiatrist approximately eight years ago, and my experience with his care was far from ideal. Over the course of my time as his patient, I was misdiagnosed multiple times, which created confusion, delays in treatment, and unnecessary stress. Didnt let me finish questionnaires, didn't ask what i was in for, immediately asking about schizophrenia out the gate. He also asked questions about my gender identity and wheelchair i felt were inappropriate for a psychiatrist. Absolute dumb founded how a first appointment starts with asking for my name, then without ANYTHING ELSE a series of questions if ive ever seen things that werent there, thought i my thoughts were being broadcast and how theres medications to "soothe my mind"
Completely unprofessional. He did not tell me a diagnoses, nor give an explanation as to why he prescribed what he prescribed and there was also no plan for dealing with the anxiety I mean when you go to a head shrink with a controllable amount of anxiety, then leave his office and your hearts about to explode, there's something seriously wrong with the doctor. Stay away. If you want to be a zombie and become an addict, he's your doctor. Pushy, rushed, and never listened. It took 2 of my family members to come with me to believe what was happening. He's ignorant and not a good doctor.this was 17 yrs. I have family members that were just referred to him and he was the same as me; dismissive, ignorant, misdiagnosed, won't listen, does what he wants and won't hear you out. This man stole 3 yrs.
