If you know of anyone who has cancer and going to a Dr. That dosent do scans to check on status PLEASE FIND A NEW ONCOLOGIST! I was "treated " for over 2 years I asked for scans or something to check on progress and was told repeatedly that since I had double masectomy and no breast there was no scan to do even though I had cancer in the 5 lymphnodes that they took out. Dr Sivakumaran has been my oncologist for six years. I have nothing but positive feedback to give about him. He listens well, remembers everything you tell him, takes your mental health into consideration and supports you with relevant treatment of anxiety and such. During my chemo he gave me very detailed explanations of my treatment, side effects... and showed me and explained all my tests results. My experience with this doctor was by far the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I was admitted to the hospital and my blood levels were really low. He recommended a blood and iron transfusion. I agreed to the iron transfusions, however I had a few questions about receiving blood from someone who had the Covid vaccine and if it would affect me in anyway because I was not vaccinated at the time.
