I was left feeling blindsided after seeing how much my bill was for just one outpatient visit. $890 for the outpatient visit, and $340 facility fee. I waited almost 3 month for this visit. The first CPT code was billed at 55 minutes, and the second was billed at 15 minutes. My appointment was no more than 45 minutes. I have reached out to see if this is an error, but I am very devastated. My brother was unfortunately a pt at Carle. Rooms were dirty. Did not see any cleaning staff come to his room. He had to b moved to another room due to bed bugs. Staff in ICU were ok but staff on medical floor were a joke. He had been unresponsive for a week and the "supposed " nurse couldn't understand why he couldn't take meds mixed in applesauce nor why he couldn't follow commands! What a joke. Pretty transphobic and it sucks I'll have that one my medical records for the rest of my life.
THE WORST billing system I have ever seen. I have never been turned over to collections in my 58 years. But their HORRIBLE communication methods have had me turned over to a collection agency twice in a year and almost a third time, but I luckily checked on my accout right before it was. I will avoid Carle Physicians because of their billing system.
DONT GO THERE !!
I came here a few weeks ago for a physical for a possible new job. Everyone there made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Thank you.
