New patient, very first visit, came after 1 1/2 hr. work-out at the gym, he performed a 2-D and "M" Code Echocardiogram and Stress Treadmill test. I said to him that unless it was all covered by my insurance I did not want to do it. He said it would be covered by my (PPO) insurance, I took his word for it. I ended up receiving a bill & paid out of pocket $600. Also my records say the reason for the test was Chest Pains. I never complained of chest pains. I'm upset & wish I checked with my wife.
