Don't Even Call Them - They'll Want You To Pay We had called Prairie Veterinary Hospital because our cat was sick. Since it was after hours, we got an answering machine. Just for the "trouble" of calling us back, they charged us $25. They provided no help during the call, and we were told to bring our cat to our regular vet during business hours. Now, $25 isn't that much, but we didn't feel that we owed them this money just for them to dial a phone. We contested the charge and contacted the BBB. Letters were sent and respons... read more
Totally unimpressed with this vet. I called here when my dog was very sick and got them a stool sample. Was told I'd be contacted that day with the results, but never received a call from anyone here. Then a few weeks later I get a bill for a test they didn't even share the results of. When I called to explain this, was told me they tried calling me many times. You know, cellphones have this new, fancy feature that shows missed calls...Never again going here! And will be sure to recommend others not to as well.

3 years ago I called this business after hours because my dog broke one of her feet when she jumped out of my arms. I asked the vet if I can take her in and how much it would cost and ended the call. A year later I got a letter from a collection agency saying I owe them $55. I called the agency and asked what this was about and they called me back a day later saying it was a $55 charge for calling after hours.
