I haven’t received my transmission yet, so I can’t comment on that, but the customer service, willingness to answer my questions, candor, and professionalism were impressive. I contacted 4 different national transmission providers and Powertrain checked all the boxes. The best price, they do the reman build themselves, warranty, free shipping, and no charge on core return for 15 days. Pretty tough to beat that. I purchased the 5 year, labor included, guarantee. One my second transmission. First one reverse did not work properly, and the second one leaks fluid. Don't buy a transmission online. Warranty department said it could leak because of handling by the carrier. So... they really told me themselves you are rolling the dice by purchasing a transmission online.. Buyer beware! These people are crooks that will not help you if things go wrong. Warranty or not. They will not accept the blame that their product is defective and you will end up having to foot the bill and eat the cost of everything. Sink over $7500 into buying an engine with warranty and paying for install. Then getting another engine from them that also did not work after paying another $2500 for install. I could not advise anyone looking for a quality engine strongly enough to stay away from this fly by night outfit.
I got a motor for my 91 Chevy Silverado and within 1500 miles a faulty oil pump blew up the motor. They replaced it under warranty and said I would be compensated for the expense of labor to put another new one in. That was in May and I haven't seen a penny of that money promised. I've made countless phone calls and emails and nothing has been answered. I'm very disappointed in their customer service.
