I own a repair shop. And this is the worst company. I've ever dealt with for a warranty issue. I purchased an engine for a 2005 Chevy, Silverado 2500 HD 6.0. The engine didn't make it 6 months and had low compression and started leaking oil. They warranted the engine in January of this year. I installed the warranted engine and I still haven't got paid and I've called them every month for 8 months, with no return phone call. No resolution. This company is horrific. Purchased a Vin X 4.6l SOC engine for a 2002 mustang everything appeared great quality initially, company was very detail oriented everything went well. Had the engine installed at a Ford dealership and the tech expressed concerns with the hot idle oil pressure being pretty low 9-11psi and the rear main seal was already leaking. Contact was made with Powertrain products. And they said to send pictures and they would approve repairs at $50 an hour to fix. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They used to have a good product and good customer service but those days are long gone. We purchased a Chevy transmission for a customers vehicle. Vehicle returned with a problem and we found that it had to be replaced again. Getting the replacement transmission was not a big problem but part of their guarantee is to pay a shops labor for the warranty job. Sales gets an A for sucking you into the sale. Warranty gets an F- for following through on Warranty. I bought an engine from them November 2024. The engine had collapsed lifters and broken valve spring. I took it to Dodge dealer to replace engine. Warranty engine was approved and installed in December 2024. I paid dealer over $3800 to remove old engine and install new one. This was December 2024. It is now end of July 2025 and still waiting on Warranty check. It's really hard to find a decent engine builder with even moderate customer service. This isn't the place. It's easy to fake reviews and have a great online presence, but when the tires meet the road, this place falls flat. I was looking into an engine and got a quote. A day later, they emailed and said they price matched - nothing else was said. No description of how their price matching works or what to submit.
