My Generac had an "over-cranking" problem. Power Pro technician found a small broken part (linkage rod). He said he didn't have the part, and put back the broken part and said it would work for the time being. He also said I would need a new battery. They sent me $488 (so-called) proposal. I assumed it would cover all parts and repairs, and I agreed on this. Then, Power Pro sent me another bill $323. I realized these were 2 different bills (for the same issue), costing over $800. We responded to your request to service your generator because 'it was not working'. We dispatched on of our trained service technicians to investigate the problem. What we found was that your unit had not been service for quite some time and ran an excessive time during the August storm. After being a customer for 14 years, a storm came and the generator ran for about 25 minutes then it smoked alot, RPMS were fluctuating and it stalled. They showed up and the serviceman was great. He found that there was too much oil in the machine. He drained some out and all was good. They sent me a bill for over $200.00. Not only did i not have use of the generator during the storm but it was their mistake. I will take my business elsewhere.

We are sorry that the unit did not perform as desired. As you noted there was an excessive amount of oil in the unit which was the cause of the problem. Apparently too mush was added by someone after the unit ran for a period of time. We sent an email to all of our PM customers explaining how to check and add oil and a video was also send demonstrating same. Instructions on performing this procedure is also explained in the operations manual.
PowerPro did an excellent job in every aspect. They answered the phone promptly, cheerfully, and professionally. They scheduled my appointment quickly and fixed my generator at minimum cost. I then signed up for their annual maintenance program. Again, they were prompt and professional. The service technician, Scott, did a superb job. All in all, I am very happy and would recommend them to anyone!
Let me put it this way, I am in my early 60's and dealing with PowerPro was my best client experience EVER! End of story. To say they were professional would be an understatement. Estimate was spot on, they called back promptly, finished the job on time and ALWAYS had some one on site. FIVE STARS FOR SURE!!!
Great, professional company to deal with. Highly recommend doing business with them. Entire project went smoothly, they were on top of everything and did a great job coordinating everything.
Power Pro inspected my generator and said that the panel was malfunctioning so they tried to sell me a new control panel for my Generac generator, which cost about $1200 with install, i got a second opinion from another company all the generator needed was a new battery... much cheaper fix i wouldn't recommend this company but if you happen to use them definitely get a second opinion to make sure you are not being overcharged!!!
