Our garden room had been used as a home gym for a year with just an extension cord running from the house. Finally did it properly with a dedicated supply, proper circuits for the equipment, and enough outlets to stop the cable management nightmare we had been living with. Electrician pointed out the extension cord we had been using was actually undersized for the load we were putting through it. Had no idea and really glad it was flagged.

Had them out after our home office setup kept causing the breaker to trip whenever we ran the space heater and monitors simultaneously. Rather than just upsizing the breaker like another electrician had suggested, they actually traced the circuit properly and found it was already sharing load with the kitchen. Added a dedicated circuit for the office and the problem has not occurred once since. Right fix rather than the easy fix.
