I too had my laneway paved in June 2022. Within the first week I had a large crack appear. Within months it had sank in areas that were low previously. The asphalt is extremely soft and marks easily. I reached out and was put off several times saying he would come and address the problem. I was patient as he was a friend of a friend of mine. 2 summers came and went with broken promises. Never showed. I do not recommend this man or company…
Driveway done less than a year ago and now there are cracks everywhere and sitting water, for a company that has been in business for so long I can't believe the lack of quality in the job. As a contractor myself I believe in a fair product for a fair price and could never recommend this company to any of our other customers, I actually feel bad for even recommending to my neighbors whose Driveway are also cracking. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and get a better finished product.
We just had part of our lane way paved today by Power Asphalt - from our first contact with the company we received very thorough explanations re costs, time etc. They were here twice - once to prep and the second time to pave - both times the crew jumped out of their trucks and got to work - the men worked extremely well together - they paid great attention to detail throughout the job. We are very pleased.
I Have purchased 6 face cords of Firewood from Albert at Power Asphalt every oct for 3 years now. The first two years, the quality of the wood was fine, but I was short changed at least 1/2 a face cord those 2 years. I didn't confront him about it as I felt it was probably go no where. I found when dealing with him in the past, he can be highly opinionated about his firewood business and probably wouldn't listen to my concerns.
