i'm so grateful' blessed and honer'd to have gone to Poundmaker's Healing Lodge i had so much good times their, met some super people and got to really learn about myself, culture, and continued to build from the spiritual foundation that i went there with i have no words to explain how thankful i am for the staff members they were a great group of people with a ton of wisdom and a wealth of knowledge i hope to get the chance to go back for sweats and night lodge ceremony whenever i can get back up to St Albert.
The stuff here created that I'm sexholic because I looked at women. I put a complain I the box that finding the opposite site is attractive , they claim I was looking for a girlfriend when I wasn't and kicked me out because they claimed my tip o the box was disrespectful.
Be careful going here, they will put you on all different kinds of medication, then blame you for taking them when you get sick from said medication. Very unprofessional place to go and get treatment. Amanda the counsellor will lash out at you, and the treatment manager Jameson is very unreasonable. You get more support from the other clients then the counsellors and management. There is better places to get help.
A CO should not be allowed to be in this facility.. I am a 3rd year Alumni student and Amanda, a counsellor considering to put an addict back on the streets! What a joke, and I will not be back there! If "the higher ups" authority is more powerful than the clients.. it's a joke! My 2nd time there, and the smudge and sweat I was taught as an indigenous SIOUX isn't the protocol I was taught. Stay away I guess..
Place is a joke. The favoritism and unprofessionalism from staff have forced my girlfriend to leave after only 3 weeks. They don't give a shit about you unless you're very clearly Indian. If you're white or white, passing good luck. Also, they steal PRESCRIBED meds and refuse to give them back when you leave. Come here at your own risk.
