Six months ago, I went back to Pound Makers Lodge with somewhat being sceptical based on my negative experience the last time I was there. Mind you, that was nearly three decades ago. Almost a year ago, I walked through the doors of Poundmakers broken, lost, and unsure if I could ever find my way back to a healthy, sober life. I am grateful for poundmakers but also know that the process and upkeep with anything related to addiction is often poorly managed I was in their recovery home and I shouldn't have been kicked out and told to leave in the same day without prior notice in a city I'm not familiar with and no one within a reasonable physical distance to help me to somewhere safe when I didn't directly relapse There will always be factors with this but realize now to have a back up plan and never directly rely on the addiction business end of th... read more
i'm so grateful' blessed and honer'd to have gone to Poundmaker's Healing Lodge i had so much good times their, met some super people and got to really learn about myself, culture, and continued to build from the spiritual foundation that i went there with i have no words to explain how thankful i am for the staff members they were a great group of people with a ton of wisdom and a wealth of knowledge i hope to get the chance to go back for sweats and night lodge ceremony whenever i can get back up to St Albert.
