Very disappointing to visit and see the quality of the pieces on sale. Especially with the current price of petrol to travel from Auckland. And to find that some of the stone isn't even from NZ, but jade from British Columbia. May be quite fine for tourists to buy as a souvenir, but not for kiwis who want the genuine, quality article. There was a good selection but generally the pieces are dull and uninspiring, and the man serving was not helpful or welcoming, hence no purchase.
Fantastic range of styles and pricing. Quirky little museum. Lovely staff. Thank you so much for a warm, Kiwi experience. Love and miss NZ.
