The doctor is the most greedy and ignorant person I have ever met. Do not take your animals here. He does not treat them with kindness and he only cares about money. I have seen the way he handles animals behind closed doors and it is abuse. I have seen him treat not only the animals but the employees and customers with abuse as well. The hospital is filthy and unsanitary. For you and your pets safety. DO NOT GO HERE.

For the health and safety of you animal, do not go here. My mom and I took out 7 year old Weimaraner for an emergency visit to Dr. Shreves because my dog began to act strange, she was no longer eating, she was having muscle tremors and she had fallen down the stairs. Which is very unlike our Gertie (my dog). When we showed up to the office we filled out the paperwork and were put into the back room. BEWARE!! DO NOT trust this man with the health of your animal. He does not care for your pet at all, only your money! My dog was very sick, unable to move or eat and he could have cared less. The lack of compassion and understanding that he had for not only my pet but myself was astounding. This man is a pure monster and should not have legal right to care for your pet. I am not surprised by the other 2 reviews I just read. I too was a patient here and had to call for an emergency visit for my dog. Wow....he was rude and downright mean! I don't understand how he is still in business! He has a horrible bedside manner. He also have me a quote for the treatment and I went somewhere else and got the same treatment done for half the price he wanted to charge me! I would never recommend Dr. Shreves to anyone! Do yourself a favor and find another vet that is competent and pleasant!

The vet at Pottsgrove animal hospital is rude, cocky, obnoxious, ignorant. He had no bedside manner and jacked his prices up knowing by the time of day we had no other choices. If you love your pet do not take them to this facility. He should be shut down.

Have been going to Pottsgrove vet for years until we had an emergency with our cat. His leg was chewed up and part of the bone was exposed. I called to have the vet look at him but was told by the office that he was too busy. I haven't been back since. We had someone else look at our cat even though they were busy too. I felt that the office was very unprofessional.
