Does anyone know what happened to the Bears to beads store I bought a gift certificate for my 90 year old mom. We went there today and they have closed shop.
always a pleasure – We have been coming here for years. We always have an enjoyable time. The owners are friendly and helpful. Whether young or old, it makes for a great outing.
Get fun for all! – I have been bringing my family here for nearly 3 years. I first heard of them when they came out to my daughter's school Young Achievers one summer to bring the fun to them! They have tons of things to paint and are always adding additional items. They now have glassware as well as pottery. The Build a bear type thing is there as well although we have not done it. We always go before the holidays, mother's day, fathers day etc to make hand made treasures. Such a treat!
A Rip Off – We are VERY disappointed. We had a Groupon, so decided to check the place out. The owner tried to insist that the Groupon could only be applied to one person's pottery. He insisted that the "limit one per person" notation on the groupon meant that it could not be used for more than one person's fees. I double-checked the offer when we got home, and it does not say anywhere that it is limited to one person's fees. Groupons are usually applied to your entire bill. HUGE Selection! – I love this place. My family and I drove up from St. Petersburg, we had no trouble parking and when we arrived the owner greeted us and told us how things worked. The wide selection of pieces cannot be beaten in the Tampa Bay area, literally over 1000 pieces to chose from. My kids picked out some cute figurines and I made myself a good-size salad bowl. Friendly and fun! – I came to this place with many of my friends and family recommending it to me, and after a visit I can see why! I have been to several pottery painting studios in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg area and I have to say that none of them had the kind of selection that Pottery, Bears 'n Beads has. When you go inside you are greeted warmly and the workers are all to happy to answer any questions you may have.
