We had a very disappointing experience with Potter Violins. We returned the rental violin and requested for a refund for a credit card charge in accordance with the rental agreement. We did not receive a reponse until we escalated the matter to a manager. Although the agreement stated that we were entitled to a refund, it took a long time to receive a check. I applaud the service and quality of cellos at Potter.
Tl;dr: Highly recommend Potter Violin for shopping for a cello, bow, or accessories! I was in the market to upgrade from my student-grade setup and visited shops in the DC area, including Potter. Jenna, the cello sales specialist at Potter, always gave me plenty of space and time to try instruments, and I never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. We hosted our event at Potter's Violin this past Sunday and it was absolutely everything we could have hoped for. The room was beautiful and the historic mansion is just stunning — truly a one-of-a-kind setting for a special event. The staff was wonderful, and Elizabeth was an absolute dream to work with.
