Sad Story They are horrible, I am a college student here at potsdam and unfortunatly this small time shop takes every chance they can get to screw over the "college kid with money" They automatically assume that being a college student means you know nothing about mechanics. Hate to use this term but they are scum bags looking to screw over the people that are keeping them in business.
Won't be returning. Every time I take my car here, I have problems later on. They put in a new oil pressure sensor incorrectly, and a few days later it leaked all of my oil as I drove down the highway. The battery compartment on my car is hidden behind the front driverside wheel, so I had them install a new battery that's now died only six months later, making me wonder if it was truely a new battery. To top it all off, they gave me an estimate afterward for a ball joint they said I'd need replaced, so to check I took it to ... read more
Lower than 1 star if I could. Took my car in to get a bulb changed. When I came to pick it up they tried to charge me over 100 dollars. For a job I could have easily done myself the price was ridiculous. Have also heard from friends that have brought cars here they they have had problems with things on their cars they had just gotten fixed! Don't go here. All they try to do is scam students out of their money.
great place i have never had any problems with Potsdam tire and auto svc. i have always gotten great service. and all the guys there are Great. i know every single one of them. i have gone to Potsdam tire and auto svc for the past 4 years and i would not go to any other shop.

Go to Emlaws Too much money spent just to have my care break down the next week. I think this is one of those shops that fixes the part in one place then breaks the car in another (hoping you will come back.)
Best Service Center in The North Country I am not sure why there are so many bad reviews for Potsdam Tire on this website. I have been a customer there for years and I have never been disappointed. They have excellent service, are very friendly, and only do what is necessary. Mike and his staff are courteous and technically proficient. They answer all questions and concerns so I always know what to expect. Plus they have great prices on tires!
