Absolutely wonderful! The staff are some of the nicest, most accommodating people I've ever met. The train is wonderful. The ride itself is so smooth, it felt like I was riding on air. They must really put a lot of time into maintaining the tracks, as I've never had such a smooth ride. The food and service is awesome. Such a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. The scenery is gorgeous. Highly recommend!!
Beautifully restored passenger train. We took the 3 hr. trip and can't wait to do it again. The scenery is awesome! Lots of eagle sightings! And very nice narrative throughout the journey. The staff are very friendly!
We did see eagles 6 times, however was disappointed in the assigned seating. Our seats were A&B on the right side of the train. All the sightseeing is on your left. Nothing to see on the right but a mountainside for the most part. We went to the baggage/observation car and stood the whole time at the opening and got better views. Also trees blocked a lot of the views, but can’t do anything about that.
The ride through the trough was beautiful however I would recommend a over 18 only compartment. There were several children running around, yelling and blowing a whistle. While the parents just sat there talking among themselves. I understand kids will be kids however I would have liked to have enjoyed the train ride in peace.
