••COLD AS THE DICKENS TRAIN RIDE•• ❄️🚂🥶 ——— My girlfriend surprised me with this train ride . . And it unfortunately disappointed us. We did the Saturday MORNING ride and it was FRIGIDLY Cold in the car we were in. She paid for the BEST package, which included a 5-Course meal. The amenities in the BRADDOCK TRAIN CAR was not was advertised in the package she selected and compared to what others paid in the other cars the ENTIRE passenger list in the BRADDOCK train car was shortchanged. We rode the trough ride in the club car. All the appetizers were tasty. The service was spot on. The gondola was definitely worth doing! We saw lots of eagles and the landscape is stunning.
Loved our trip on the Potomac Eagle in early October 2025. We sat in the Premium Dining car. Excellent food and service! We took advantage of sitting in the open-air "gondola" car for one of the 45-minute sessions. It was a great experience.
