Back in the 50's at least and into the early 60's people used to ice skate on the pond. It was a good size and full back then. I don't know if everybody called it 'P Pond' but that's what I knew it as. That was easier said than Potamogeton for me, that's for sure. Grand Central marked the end of the last glacial advance from what we had been told and it was said the pond was the result of a chunk of the glacier falling off the retreating ice flow. Nice
I walked my dog back here a few times and I love it. Nice shade, away from the road, lovely walking areas and a few places to sit. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the area
