I’ve been at this practice going on 2 years now and it’s been okay until yesterday. My oldest had his well child check up 9/8/2025, and I have never been so appalled and ruffled by a doctor. Dr. Purman harassed me for opting out of vaccines, saying I needed to give him an explanation other than “it’s not my vibe”, I told him I didn’t need to explain anything to him and he proceeded to tell me on his rant that he went on, how he cares more for my child’s health than I do! The only pleasant person in this office is Amanda. The star is for her only. Dr. Purman is very passionate about what he does I'll give him that, but he will talk over you, interrupt you, harass and bully you on your parental decisions that he might not totally agree with or fit his agenda($$). We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Purman caring for our children. He is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly personable and kind. He always takes the time to answer our questions and make us feel comfortable as parents. We especially appreciated how he checked in with us while we were waiting for further genetic testing for our newborn — it meant so much to know he truly cared. As a nurse in primary care who had the same physician for 15 years who, unfortunately retired, this office has been a nightmare from the start. We had an issue with the insurance broker at my husband’s work messing up, so even though our deductible was paid in full, it appeared it wasn’t. The staff treated me terribly and were extremely rude rolling their eyes not believing it. Was recommended this office by our hospital where I delivered my son and it’s conveniently close to where we live. I will say the doctor and all of the nurses are very nice however the front desk staff come off as rude and unfriendly. I also have not been pleased about some of our visits, they seem very rushed and most of the time you can’t get an appointment with the actual pediatrician. Lastly, I did not agree on some of the advice I was given for my son’s digestive issues, we have since switched providers.
