Portugalos is quickly becoming one of my favourite restaraunts. The food, atmosphere and hospitality is bar none. You get extremely well sized portions that are affordable and delicious, and whether you want a casual meal or a fancy dinner you’ll be taken care of here. Our waiter Nico is always on top of it and very kind.
This is a Blackburn Hamlet gem, the owners and service staff are genuinely so happy to have you there. The food is incredibly delicious and well priced. Amazing Portuguese wine list of wines unavailable in the LCBO, homemade Piri Piri sauce, a date night that will be on repeat. Mussels, Cod, Shrimp and specials are amazing. Drive out of your way to visit.
So ...to be fair the menu is simple prices are good and choices are plenty for portuguese food. Food..carne de porco alentejana, not the portuguese recipe since it does not use pepper paste in sauce. The porc cubes were marinated..potatoes were not crispy and clams were the frozen kind ($4.99 per bag) The cod fish was ok ..nice portion but vegetables had nothing to do with dish.
