Portsmouth is a example of how corrupt politicians can get in bed with a company with no moral compass (ERC) and decimate tourism and local businesses. Google ERC toll problems before you head to Portsmouth; it's a nightmare. A shame to because Portsmouth is a great town. Hope it was worth it.

Olde Town is the best town around!! They have history around every corner. The events they put on are fun and professional. I lived there for years, and still miss it...
I love Portsmouth! It has the friendliest people I have ever met. The history of the town starts in 1608 and is still making history. Looking over the Elizabeth River and seeing the ships in port being updated makes one recall that this was the first dry dock in America.
