Book and Bar is closing for good tomorrow. I wish I had gotten to spend more time there however I'm grateful for its existence and for being a place where I went on one of my very first dates with my now long term partner. It was a special and welcoming environment that will be sorely missed in Portsmouth. As times change and businesses come and go, let's be kinder to those people working behind the scenes. The ones selling us coffee, stocking the shelves, offering us a space out of the hustle and bustle of our daily grind.
