Knew I had an issue with my 75hp Honda outboard. I took it to Portside to be validated and try to get a solution to the low compression and oil and water mixing. Was subsequently told many times the engine is rubbish and not worth fixing etc. The engine is a 2018 with 250hrs, I am certain that these engines can be fixed with a new head or head gasket, this option was not presented and I had to try and pry it out of them. I have a 2001 boat with Mercury outboard. Motor is powerful and I did not want to change it as it has only 400 hours. Gets me to Rotto and back reliably. After 20 years the motor needed some love and attention at times: carburettor service, tilt mechanism, electrics. All done superbly by Jack and Tony. Work done quickly and motor runs like new.
