Close to the popular Glendale Galleria, this extremely busy Cuban-style deli may seem a bit chaotic at first, but that is because people know a good thing when they have tasted it. This eatery serves up some of the most unique and tasty sandwiches and baked goods around. Its unusual Potato Sandwich, made with beef, sounds strange but tastes fabulous. Well worth it, most people say. Credit cards are not accepted.

....but the lines.... – Pastries and cakes good. Tres leches excellent. Lines are insane....and the architect should be forced into the Arena of the Gods against Spartacus, Forced to line up three different times for coffee, a meat pie and a cake.......crazy. Avoid Holidays...not because the food isn't good..it is, but the wait, because of the architect I guess.... Is just plain crazy.
Porto's is an all-time favorite! – It has been about 15 years since a co-worker took me to this place and it has only gotten better. It's true that they are always very busy but they have a big staff that serves customers quickly and the quality of the food is outstanding! My fave is the guava and cheese strudels, Cuban sandwiches and potato balls....oh and the chorizo empenadas. Actually there is just too many things that are so good,. hmmm... Reminds me of home in the islands. Don't miss the Guava Struedel with cheese! Potato balls! Meat pies! Tres leches, flan, mango mousse bomb!
Porto's has gone down when it come to cakes.
This is definitively the best bakery in all of LA If you have not visited either location, please stop reading this and start driving. Porto's Bakery is a must try. From the Parisian (all chocolate cake) to the tamales, you can not go wrong here.
There are not enough stars to rate this place!!! I have never eaten the sandwiches and only rating on the desserts. Awwww, desserts from heaven!!!! The dulce lecce and creme burle is to die for!!!! They come in a mini serving which is the right size they are so good! This place is packed all the time. I have always gone on a week day, don't dare try the weekend, seen people lined up out the door. But it's worth every mouth watering minute you have to wait!
This is one of our favorite spots in Glendale!! Everything is greattttt!!!
Portos is like a sneaky addiction: you come here once, then again a month or so later and before you notice you are here on a weekly basis to feast on those meals they provide. The food is awesome! But so are the nutrition levels. Do yourself a favor and do a two hour workout after each day you've been here to stay healthy!
