I bought the "carbon fiber" wheelchair for my 88 year old father and it snapped at the arm the first time he sat in it, fortunately not injured. Returning the chair was when I realized this business was not honest as emails and return calls were delayed and it took more than 2 weeks to receive a return label. The owner, "Al" then refunded only a portion of the purchase price at which time I filed a complaint with my credit card company. I purchased the Ranger Royce 39 lb. (without the batteries) electric wheelchair for my husband last July. It's his first chair and as such, it's been easy for him to operate and maneuver in small spaces. One of the very best things about this model is that it's JUST small enough to fit into the wheelchair cabinet ONBOARD the plane, no checking it at the gate. My sweet wife has trouble walking long distances. We started using a manual wheelchair. It was helpful for hard surfaces and short distances, but when we tried a cruise it was quite difficult for me, and the wheelchair would catch on small obstructions.
