GP’a have no idea what are doing. They are low educated. They are not on the top od medications. Their knowledge is below anything. I would rather go abroad and pay for private medical consultation than be treated here which I will do now. Update: I have been struggling with ear infections for two years and all they did is treating symptoms instead of finding out what is causing this issue. Popped into get some help after pharmacist unable to help me…receptionist (sorry didn’t get name but long dark curly hair) was so kind and understanding and did her utmost to help me…cutting through some of the beaucracy to speed things up for me- can’t say what a difference that makes when you feel terrible. Dr then triaged my query and messaged me within 2 hrs!! Prescription at the chemist which I can pick up first thing. Another excellent service received from the practice - thank you 🙏
I've had health problems for a number of years and am always satisfied with the care at PMG. This year in particular has been stressful as I had open surgery in April. I recently registered with Portishead Medical Group after moving from Lewes, East Sussex. Booking a blood test was very straightforward, I was offered an appointment within days and was seen exactly on time by a lovely nurse. I was genuinely impressed at that point. However, the follow-up left me quite disappointed. After seeing abnormal results on my NHS app, I booked a GP telephone appointment.
