Very unprofessional there was a manager or supervisor on staff by the name of Rosa. She allowed her team to be little me speak to me rudely threaten me berate me threatened to actually jump over the counter. And attack me this was a 17 year old girl. By the way one girl came and I thought that she was going to talk to her since the manager didn't but she just encouraged her to ignore me because. Of my frustration and not getting my food in a timely manner after asking about it being disrespected and she insulted. My looks ... read more

I had the worst experience at the Portillo's in Downers Grove. 1500 Butterfield RD. From the time I started to order, the kid had no clue about the menu. Then after waiting 30 minutes they tell me they dropped my food. it would be another 20 minutes. When I talked to a manger, she told me I was not very understanding and rude. What kind of manager tells that to a customer. We make the business for the restaurant. I could of gotten an extra order of fries or a piece of cake for all the inconvenience. Order #w46. Last time I g... read more

on 2/19/20 portillos had recently opened their Addison location and we placed an order which their computer system changed, it was wrong. We called the location directly and were hung up on over and over again without anyone speaking directly to us, but rather yelling into the phone that the computer system went down and they would hang up without asking anything so we had to call numerous times. Once we finally reached someone that would listen, we were assured we would not be charged and our information was taken. Well, th... read more

I have had a horrible experience with the Manger(Wilma)at the Gurnee location. She was terribly rude to not only me but her employee. She was giving me attitude for wanting a refund, and was also disrespecting her employee for messing up the order. I don’t think she should be working there anymore.

It is a shame what they have done to my once most favorite take-out in the world!!! I no longer live in close proximity so I decided to order online for 2-day delivery. All was good till they dropped the package at UPS - as soon as the package dropped the delivery date was changed from the 31st to the 4th. Ever since then I have tried to contact Portillo's to find out if the food will even be good when I get it. I emailed them back through the email they sent and was told to contact them through their website. I did - not... read more

I had a really awful experience with a manager at the location on Rt.59 in Naperville. I called the customer service line and also wrote a detailed report which I submitted. I was informed that someone would be in contact with me within 48 hours. It's been 10 days without a response. Note to Portillo's higher up's ... It's far worse to offer this and not reply. There are far too many food options available. I won't be back.

A comfortable, family-friendly setting for Chicago-style hot dogs. – In Short Dick Portillo opened his first restaurant from a trailer with no running water in 1963 in Villa Park, Ill. Today, each location has a unique theme that reflects the founder's love of history and Chicago. Menu favorites include Chicago-style hot dogs (topped with mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, pickle and sport peppers), Polish sausages, Italian beef sandwiches, salads, burgers and more. Sides include onion rings, fries, soup and for dessert ther... read more
