My hubby and I stumbled on Portillo's by accident. I think that we were actually headed to Miguel Jr. or maybe Poepyes. But, I can not be sure as my husband detests Miguel Jr.. It does not matter where we were headed. What matters is that when the GPS took us to that shopping center, we gave Portillio's a try, and we are hooked. Fun atmosphere, but incredible food! Chicago people, new Tampa people--BEWARE! Portillo's has finally went to the low road by lowering the beef on your beef & charging the same. I am from Chicago, ate at all the beef stands in the whole city, while being a salesman for 30 years, I know all the Portillo's in the Chicago area .So now, they want to rip us off by lower beef, maybe you noticed the reduction. Unbelievably Bad Attitudes from Customer Service. Order takers in Parking Lot were rude and disrespectful when I pulled into auxiliary parallel lane. I drove away was name-called " Loser" . Upon attempting to call Store to speak with Management to address Service Issues. I was left on Hold not Once but Twice for over 7 Minutes each time.First time woman, Second Time Male. First off it was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves, but what was really a problem was when our order came, it was all wrong. The hamburger wasn't fixed how I asked it to be. It was not hot, partially cold, and my the other order for Italian beef was barely warm.
Went for lunch with my family and had a terrible first experience. All of my family members ordered the big roast beef, while I ordered the beef and cheese. First off they ordered peppers and only received one little container. Second, we had to ask for our other drink. Thirdly, I received my beef and cheese with a **sprinkle of cheese! Fourth, our wait was about 20 minutes, the reason why I did not go back to "try" to get more cheese. Lastly, there was absolutely no seating. Italian Beef sandwich with hot peppers is a must try. Super juicy and delicious! The bread is always fresh too. Got to get my fix when I'm in the area!

I love Portillo's. Best malts and best chocolate cake ever. Food is fabulous and service is particuarly fast in the drive through.
By far have the best Italian beef on the planet! The place is fantastic. Every Portillos has theyre own custom theme from time. It is a great time to bring the whole family or just by yourself for lunch, dinner whenever!
