Need more staff. They have a new social worker, haven't met the person or heard from them.I have a relative in this nursing home.. They take pretty good care of her though.The other social worker, whose name was Miss Angela did a real good job. They fired her. Don't even know the new social workers name. Also a lot of the patients are walking too freely around there.
Porterfield is NOT the old Hartley Woods!! – I sympathize for dollyslaffn for her loss. Hartley Woods was a poor nursing home that was in a lot of trouble and everyone needs to know that Hartley Woods is no more! Fortunately, Medical Management Concepts, LLC has bought the property and through a substantial investment of resources by the company, cleared its annual survey with only 3 tags and has already opened a rehabilitation wing which is setting the standard for care in the area. BEWARE !!!!!!! DEATH-RELATED CONCERNS !!! – My father,at almost 88 years young, stepped off his tractor in September of 2003 and damaged his knee.His doctor prescribed a knee brace and referred him to Hartley Bridge for therapy,to learn how to walk with it.I was not able to travel to Macon until three weeks later,and when I did,I asked if we(meaning my husband and I) could take him outside.The aides had a fit and protested"We don't have to get them up on the weekends!" Hartley Woods has sold this nursing home to Medical Management Concepts who renamed the facility Porterfield Health and Rehab. There is new management, a new administrator, and new staff. Porterfield cleared its annual survey with only 3 tags and has already opened a rehabilitation wing which is setting the standard for care in the area.
