Portage had many wonderful doctors when I first became a patient there 8 years ago. Most have now left, and the practice is constantly short staffed, behind, and full of miscommunication. Patient care has gone downhill. I am still awaiting test results from nearly 3 weeks ago and have called 4-5 times to be put on hold and told that the doctor hadn't had time to read them. This is not the first time this has happened.
I brought my infant son to the doctor's yesterday (and his doctor is great- this has nothing to do with his care). As I was walking out of the pediatrician's office I ran into 3 people that weren't wearing masks (they had them but weren't wearing them). I was shocked that these people passed me in the hall at a hospital. My son is an infant and is too young to wear a mask or keep one on and it makes me very weary of bringing him in again for fear we will again be confronted with people that aren't wearing masks or social dis... read more
RecommendedGreat staff, always helpful and polite, always answer the phone and return messages promptly. I actually look forward to my visits instead of dreading them, even with quarantine protocols they make things seem comfortable and normal. So happy they will be taking care of me when I give birth in a couple months!

Recommended3/14 ED treatment. Outstanding staff all around. Dr. Johnson was Ed Dr on duty. Excellent. All staff, was excellent. I only recall some of the names, but each person that dealt with me was the epitome of excellence. Funny how they tell people oh just a viral infection your okay, ummmm okay where is medicine? What kind of viral infection? Seeming there are over 5,000 viral infections that were identified. Or was it really a bacterial infection. Oh I will never know because the ER is always saying viral infection but can’t test to find out which one? It goes away on its own, and out the door you go.
