Loved the water but there's trash everywhere someone needs to pick it up.
It's a place for me that brings back a lot of great memories.. I've launched 4 out of the last 6 boats I've owned over the years from here on a regular basis. Also Lots of my family and friends have all launched their boats from here. It was closed down for close to 2 years due to the 2016 hurricane season but its now reopen. You get the occasional dirt bag that leaves trash and even gutted fish in their wake but other than that it's a great place
No wind break so if wind is from the east you’ll be getting big chop loading the boat. Long idle/slow zone out to the channel and due to the proximity to the power plant FWC is often in unmarked trucks to enforce that and previously to July 1st 2025 doing “safety” fishing expeditions. Parking lot is at an odd angle to the ramp and lots of cars and people hanging out sometimes makes maneuvering difficult. Long story short,I’d avoid this ramp and use another during typical summer east to west winds.
